Political - When Pigs Fly

Description

Of course, I had to do something when it comes to these "alternative facts".  I wasn't sure what to draw or do, and I don't often touch political drawings, but in a conversation on social media, I said that:
"These things they're saying are facts the day pigs fly."

...and then I knew what I was going to do a drawing of.  XD

We're in an age of false facts and media suppression (especially in America).
DOUBLE CHECK YOUR FACTS!!!

The following places are fairly down the middle (there are no such things as "non-biased" news), but these sources are considered the most credible these days:
npr
BBC
The Washington Post  (requires a subscription)
The New York Times  (requires a subscription)
NBC News
abc News
AP
Reuters
Wall Street Journal

Local news considered "better than nothing":  USA Today, CNN (yes, CNN is a credible news source.  No, it is not "fake news"...that's media suppression which started because CNN ran a story which came from Buzzfeed which included a dossier which other stations also had access to but did not run because there was still controversy and unknowns around it)

Other fairly credible sources (which can lean left or right more than the above) include:
The Guardian
The Hill
Slate
The Atlantic
The Economist

Scews Left/Better than nothing (delivers the story the way the left wants to hear it):
The Huffington Post
Vox

Scews Right/Better than nothing (delivers the story the way the right wants to hear it):
The Fiscal Times

If you're getting news from a location not on these lists, then it's either heavily skewed to one side, or is an independent news source without a proper ranking (Mother Jones, for instance, is rather credible but doesn't have a ranking on the list just yet).
I still suggest double-checking any article from one of those sources (or even the "skewed" sources) with one of the more reliable sources (such as "npr" or "Reuters").

That said, I don't want political arguments on this page.  I don't want you all to argue with one another, and I'm not going to engage in an argument over news sources.  I'll encourage FRIENDLY DEBATES, but please do not resort to insults or the lack of integrity I often see when it comes to political arguments on social media.

I don't want any arguments about CNN, because there's plenty I can say about Fox News (which actually ranges from "skews right" to "way right" according to the information I've gathered).  Trust me; there's someone in my house who watches almost nothing but Fox News on high volume, so I know what comes out of those reporters.
CNN is not fake news; end of story.

Just because someone stood up and says "fake news", that doesn't mean it's truly fake news.  Unless it's some propaganda or conspiracy news source, someone screaming "fake news" just because they don't like what they heard on it is the same as giving out "alternative facts" and expecting pigs to sprout wings and fly.

I disagree with the way Fox News does their reporting, and they definitely cater to the right...but I don't go screaming "fake news" just because I don't like hearing the blatant favoritism.

If the higher-ups told you pigs are flying, would you believe them?  Or would you double-check where they're getting that from?

Question things.
Question logic.
Question what you hear.
Educate yourself.
Search for answers on your OWN; asking other people for their opinion isn't a bad idea, but it doesn't promote thinking for yourself and coming to your own conclusions.

Even if you disagree with what I wrote and want to question it (as long as you do so civilly), I don't mind answering questions.
I don't know all the answers, either.
I also continually search for the truth.
