OC - Summer Memories

One of my favorite summer memories is as a kid, going to the lake.

I'm not a huge fan of actually swimming in lakes (all the seaweed), but I used to love watermelon and ice cream at the lake, and playing on the monkey bars on the playground until I got blisters on my hands.
As a kid, summer was special because it meant ice cream (we didn't get any from the supermarket), and it meant watermelon (another thing we didn't get from the supermarket when I was a kid).

I also have a summer birthday, but even those didn't often beat out hanging out at the lake and eating watermelon, building sand castles, and playing on the monkey bars at the lake's playground.
Oh, there was also swimming, but none of us were too fond of lake water.  XD
