I explained about autistic shutdowns in the last issue, so there isn't much to say on this one.  Patch knows just what to do since Kairy has explained to him about autistic shutdowns.

That's why it's important for people to understand autistic shutdowns, and how to best help someone who is having one or who has one.  It might be challenging for folks who are non-verbal to really express their needs during one, but folks are coming up with ways for non-verbal autistics to convey their meanings (I see a lot of work with tablets).

Personally, I don't want to be near anyone when in shutdown mode (welp, it's more of just that I'm not really aware of their presence), though there was one time when I had a shutdown where I was fine with someone else being there as long as they weren't the cause of the shutdown and didn't try to talk to me.
